Loving conceptual work and thinking on a meta level, Felix Angermeyer questions the given and looks for new ways to express meaning visually.
"There are designed objects which excites you at first sight. You can´t really tell what it is, but some invisible force seems to cast a spell over you. These objects have a tension resulting from the use of few materials and sleek proportions - both supporting the functionality of the object perfectly. The whole composition of color, materiality and shape seems to fuse into a consistent, strong character, where nothing is left to chance. To me, this is the fascination of good design and my goal in every creative process."
Felix Angermeyer began his career as a industrial designer at the Design Studios of Ford in Cologne as an intern. After finishing school he learned at the FH Aachen the craft of product design. During his studies he expanded his perspective on forms, materials and colours of furniture by working with Thomas Schnur, Jerszey Seymour and the design agency Hertel & Klarhoefer in internships. In the same year he finished design school he started working independently, founding FELIX ANGERMEYER Design Studio. Through this time he worked for young companys as KLARHEIT, established design Agencys as Grosse 8 and started an own Crowdfunding Campaign for his product Sammelwiese.
